Taylor Rae
Nutrition Coach, Food Science Specialist & Farm to Table enthusiast.
My name is Taylor-Rae, I am a self declared foodie, certified nutrition practitioner and the CEO of Farm Fresh Fitness & Nutrition. I was born and raised on an acreage at Battle Lake Alberta and a few years ago I moved to a farm in Leduc County. My passion for food and nutrition goes back to when I was a little girl and my dad taught me how to cook. He and I would cook together several nights a week and as I got older, I started to experiment with more complex recipes.
After proudly graduating high school 3 years early at age 15, with top marks and a scholarship I went on to work in the food service industry for many years. I started in food service and advanced to cooking and catering for large events. I learned that food is a universal language, and it has a major impact on our lives. I was able to change my physical and mental health through my personal fitness journey and yoga practice over the last 7+ years, overcoming my struggles with anxiety and I want to share the power of fitness & nutrition with the world!
This sparked a fascination to learn more about the science behind the foods we eat and how we can use nutrition to heal our bodies, prevent, treat, and even reverse chronic disease and change our lives! I decided to pursue my dream of helping people to find their balance with nutrition and reach their full potential.
I took my Applied Nutrition Sciences Diploma in 2022 and I received academic excellence in the program with my final grade of 99%! My degree covered biochemistry, human physiology, and genetics to really understand the impact of food in our bodies. With this knowledge I am able to address nutritional concerns at all stages of life from infants to seniors, chronic disease management and sports nutrition. My special areas of interest are in gut health and the microbiome which is a rapidly evolving area of scientific research, longevity, and Prenatal nutrition.
ELEVATED LEARNING ACADEMY APPLIED NUTRITION SCIENCE DIPLOMA, 2022
My mission is to teach people that healthy eating can be easy! I create simple recipes, centered around real, whole foods with fresh and seasonal ingredients. My approach is client centered, and it is so rewarding for me to see my clients reach their full potential and better their overall quality of life. In the ever changing world of nutrition, I pride myself on staying up to date on the latest research and always expanding my knowledge so I can share the most accurate information with my clients.
When I’m not working out at the gym, I’m working on the farm. I grow my own veggies, harvest, preserve and ferment them. I milk a cow, bake sourdough bread, and raise and butcher my own chickens, turkeys, beef, and rabbits. I love all things outdoors from hiking to hunting and fishing. On a typical day you can find me doing yoga out in nature or in the garden picking weeds.
I am currently creating a pregnancy nutrition resource library to help my expecting clients navigate the overwhelming world of prenatal nutrition and help nourish the next generation!
