Month 1 - Workout 2 - YOGA!

I know how much you guys love a little bit of yoga and it is important to me to teach you guys a PHYSICAL practice that is both calming and good for your mind. As we get navigate through life we always want to find ways to connect with ourselves on all levels so that no matter what the occasion (maybe happiness, frustration, nervousness or sadness) we can find healthy ways to express or release it. This can be through anything like painting, sports, music, reading books and hopefully MOVEMENT such as intense workouts in the gym or relaxing yoga days. I hope you remember this option and enjoy this workout on days we want to challenge ourselves or need to release the days stress.

XO - B

COMPLETE 1.5-2 MINUTE EXPLORING EACH MOVEMENT WITH 30 SECOND BREAK IN BETWEEN EACH MOVEMENT AND REPEAT THE ENTIRE SEQUENCE OF ALL 8 MOVEMENTS 1-3 TIMES DEPENDING ON TIME AVAILABLE THAT DAY! GET DEEPER INTO EACH MOVEMENT WITH EACH ROUND.

REFLECT & MEDITATE THROUGHOUT YOUR DAY

Just as we move our bodies it is so important to take care of our minds, right Zak & Roland?!

Think about all of the things that you hold close to your heart. At the end of your day from school or the end of the whole day, sit in an easy position like cross-legged or lay on your back. Close your eyes and take 10 slow deep breaths.

Think about what you LOVED about your day, observing all of the small victories you achieved today - maybe something at school or a craft or chore you completed, todays yoga pose or a long walk with your mom or something new you learned with your dad.

Journal them down (or comment them below to share with me) to remind yourself of all the COOL things you are capable of.
